Silk Tree Farm is a woman-owned farm that specializes in raising and preserving our heritage breeds, as well as providing food raised sustainably from working with nature, not against it.
What We Do
At Silk Tree Farm you will find Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Red Wattle Hogs, Silver Appleyard Ducks, Black Jersey Giants, and Freedom Ranger Chickens. All of our animals are raised on pasture, allowing them to graze or root as they naturally should.
We raise Nigerian Dwarf Goats focusing on milk production and temperament. We use their milk to make your favorite goat milk soaps,
We handcraft artesian goat milk soaps and soy candles.
Our Mission
Silk Tree Farm specializes in holistically raised heritage breed livestock. Providing our community with sustainably raised, nutrient-dense, delicious food. We are passionate about promoting genetic diversity through the preservation of our heritage breeds thus protecting our food system.

Our Practices
- Conservation plan working with NRCS to improve soils and pastures, adding medicinal plants, fruit trees, and bushes.
- Working on solar and rainwater collection
- Rotational grazing, No-till gardening. Raising the animals holistically using homeopathic remedies when needed.
- Allowing our animals to grow at a natural rate, allowing the space to forage and root as they should.
- After purchasing the breeding stock, all of the heritage breeds are born on my farm and are in my care from start to finish.
